The “3eress Assama” is a historical and religious play combining two periods, one during the life of Jesus Christ and the other 85 years after Christ, where John enters a group of fishermen and tries to inform them about the words and beliefs of his Lord despite all the Roman Empire discrimination towards Christians. Ghabe bila kanoun

It is a portrayal of the political situation in Lebanon and how it became like a forest without law and order. The main point is that if man’s dignity and rights are upheld, law and order will reign again.

It is a play about social life and the role of a priest as reconciling in relationships. It shows that no matter how basic rights may seem lost forever, they will be reclaimed.

It deals with the relationship between a mother, her son, and her daughter-in-law. It shows the deep love a mother carries for her children. The daughter-in-law negatively alters the son’s feelings towards his mother. The play ends with the son painfully realizing after his mother’s death how valuable her love for him was.
